Sweet Memories Of You (Can't Seem To Leave 'Em Behind) (106)

Sittin' on a barstool
Down in Amarillo,
I was thinkin' about you
And the places we used to go.

That time in San Antone,
A moonlit night on the Riverwalk,
We enjoyed a candlelight dinner,
And we talked and we talked.

There was the time at
That great steak house in Fort Worth,
You looked so radiant.
We had wine and the surf n' turf.

I remember all the good times,
Out in Myrtle Beach also.
Fresh seafood, great golfing
And quiet times at the condo.

The memories of you
Still flood through my mind.
Sweet memories of you,
I can't seem to leave behind.

All those times at the club
And our "friendly" golf wagers,
The way we structured them
For loving intimate favors.

Always looking forward
To the nights after our rounds,
Winning or losing never mattered,
Funny as it may sound.

Those weekend football trips,
You enjoyed going along.
We both cheered together
And sang The Mizzou Fight Song.

All the wonderful times
With our special friends,
I remember them still
And long to have them again.

The memories of you
Still flood through my mind.
Sweet memories of you,
Can't seem to leave 'em behind.
