Missouri Bluffs (128)

♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫

Ol' Missouri,
Muddy waters roll on by.
Fond memories,
Happy childhood days gone by.

Missouri bluffs,
Redtail hawk soaring up high.
Soft summer breeze,
White clouds and powder blue sky.

Missouri home,
Cold starry December night.
Distant whistle,
Assures me that all is right.

Missouri farms,
Golden grain and fresh cut hay.
Born and raised here,
And 'tis here I'm gonna stay.

Ev'ry True Son,
Singing the Tiger Fight Song.
At Faurot Field,
We cheered loudly all game long.

Show-Me girls,
Just as sweet as they can be.
I love them all,
And some of them have loved me.

Missouri bluffs,
Muddy river roll on by.
Born and raised here,
And 'tis here I'm gonna die.

Missouri home,
Muddy river roll on by.
Born and raised here,
And I'll stay here 'til I die.

Railroad Track (127)

♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫

I used to think life was hills and valleys;
You go through a dark time and then sunshine.
It seemed that life was a series of ups and downs;
I'd be in the pits and then I'd be fine.

But over the years, I've come to believe
Life is like two rails on a railroad track.
At all times throughout your life there's always
Something good and something bad on those tracks.

Two rails runnin' along that railroad track
Are gonna get me where I need to go.
No matter something good or something bad,
I'll get there be it fast or be it slow.

'Spect we've all got a purpose for our lives,
But we're all gonna have some problems too.
That's just the way this old life seems to go,
Sometimes we're happy and sometimes we're blue.

Sometimes we're right on top of this old world,
But sometimes the world is beating us down.
Love makes livin' life a bit more worthwhile;
Well, at least ways that's what I've always found.

Two rails runnin' along that railroad track
Are gonna get me where I need to go.
No matter something good or something bad,
I'll get there be it fast or be it slow.

Heart To Heart And Cheek To Cheek (126)

♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫

Hills and valleys,
Canyons and peaks.
Our journey through life,
Heart to heart and cheek to cheek.

Our ups and downs,
Streaming tears, beaming smiles.
The places we've been,
A journey of so many miles.

Hills and valleys,
Canyons and soaring peaks.
Our journey through life,
Heart to heart and cheek to cheek.

Good moments and bad,
Heartaches and loving times.
Courtship and passion
Which led to wedding bell chimes.

Hills and valleys,
Canyons and peaks.
Our journey through life,
Heart to heart and cheek to cheek.

Shadows lengthen,
Warm embers glowing still.
Our life together
An exhilarating thrill!

Hills and valleys,
Canyons and peaks.
Our journey through life,
Heart to heart and cheek to cheek.

Love Will Find A Way (125)

♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫

Though the course is not marked,
Love will find a way.
Love knows the hidden paths
And will never go astray.

I've seen it many times,
Come whatever may.
One of life's certain truths,
Oh yeah, love will find a way.

Love can find its own way
To a broken heart.
And it can thaw the ice
That keeps two lovers apart.

I've seen it many times,
Come whatever may.
One of life's certain truths,
Oh yeah, love will find a way.

Instrumental break-up

Though the course be unclear,
Love will find a way.
Love knows the secret paths
And will never go astray.

I've seen it many times,
Come whatever may.
One of life's certain truths,
Oh yeah, love will find a way.

Love can find its own way
To a cold, hard heart.
And it can thaw the ice
That keeps two people apart.

I've seen it many times,
Come whatever may.
One of life's certain truths,
Oh yeah, love will find a way.

The Fragance Of You (124)

♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫

What is that fragrance?
It seems so familiar.
So distinct, so pleasant ...
It's the fragrance of you!

Sophisticated,
Warm, rich, deep and woody.
Intensely feminine,
Seductive and worldly.

What is that fragrance?
It seems so familiar.
So distinct, so pleasant ...
It's the fragrance of you!

Deep, warm woody notes ...
Rich and pleasant spices,
Luxurious flowers,
Some of nature's nicest.

I know that fragrance.
It seems so familiar.
So distinct, so pleasant ...
It's the fragrance of you!

Yes, I know that fragrance.
And it seems so familiar.
So distinct, so pleasant ...
It's the fragrance of you!

I Write n' Sing Country Songs and I'm Doin' OK (123)

♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫

I'm just a pot-smokin', whiskey-drinkin' guitar picker.
But over all the years I've managed to do OK.
'Don't fret 'bout the stock market or investment properties.
I just write n' sing country songs and I do OK.

'Probably shouldn't smoke weed and drink Jack Daniels whiskey.
But I just can't lie to ya, I do it anyway.
I ain't the best role model, but I don't lie, cheat or steal.
I just write n' sing country songs and I do OK.

'Ain't no Wall Street investment banker or big-time lawyer.
'Haven't inherited a fortune along the way.
I'm just old pot-smokin', whiskey-drinkin' guitar picker.
I write n' sing country songs and I'm doin' OK.

I'm an old pot-smokin', whiskey-drinkin' guitar picker.
I write n' sing country songs and I'm doin' OK.
I'm an old pot-smokin', whiskey-drinkin' guitar picker.
I write n' sing country songs and I'm doin' OK.

The Lonesome Lonestar Blues (122)

♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫

I've been on the road too long ...
Smoke-filled dance halls and too much booze.
I'd rather be in Austin;

'Got those lonesome Lonestar blues.

I've been all around the world,
Runnin' hard and partyin' some.
From time to time I miss home ...
Yeah, Austin, that's where I'm from.

Austin, my dear old Austin ...
'Gotta get back home pretty soon.
Longhorn cattle, Lonestar pride,
Wide Texas sky, big round moon.

No, I Haven't Shed Any Tears (121)

♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫

I don't wanna see you leave, babe;
Hate to see you walk out that door.
Don't let the screen door hit your back side
If' you don't love me anymore!

'Don't really care who's right or wrong;
I ain't gonna beg you to stay.
'Just gonna help you pack up all your stuff,
So that you can be on your way!

Slam bam and out the door you went;
And now you've been gone five long years.
I can still hear that screen door slam today,
But I haven't shed any tears.

Oh yeah, out that screen door you went;
And it's been five long, lonely years.
I can stll hear that loud slam bam today,
But I haven't shed any tears.

No, I haven't shed any tears.
No, I haven't shed any tears.
I can still hear that screen door slam today,
But I haven't shed any tears.

Free Fallin' In Love With You (120)

♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫

Free fallin'
In love with you.
Head over heels,
I'm so much in love with you.

Free fallin'
In love with you.
The things you say,
The little things that you do.

Free fallin',
I'm free fallin'.
Just fallin' and fallin',
So much in love with you!

Free fallin',
Oh yeah baby!
Now can't you see
Just what you're doin' to me?

Free fallin',
Don't have a clue.
I've lost control,
Free fallin' in love with you.

Free fallin',
I'm free fallin'.
Just fallin' and fallin',
So much in love with you!

Free fallin',
Yeah I'm free fallin'.
Just fallin' and fallin',
So much in love with you!

Reckon She Left Just To See If I'd Follow (119)

♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫

Well, she went and left me last night,
But she didn't really need to go.
I reckon maybe she left
Just to see if I'd follow.

Bull-headed, stubborn as a mule,
She's always had a fiery temper .
I've 'bout had a belly full

Of her God awful manners.

Yeah, she went and left me last night,
But she didn't really need to go.
I reckon maybe she left
Just to see if I'd follow.

Well, I'm gonna change the door locks
The first thing come tomorrow mornin'.
That'll teach her a lesson
Not to run away stormin'.

Yeah, she ran out on me last night,
But she didn't really need to go.
I reckon maybe she left
Just to see if I'd follow.

Well, I could've run after her;
Some say I should've and some say not.
Now I'm sittin' here all alone
Just wishin' we hadn't fought.

Yeah, she went and left me last night,
But she didn't really need to go.
I reckon maybe she left
Just to see if I'd follow.

Oh yeah, I reckon she left
Just to see if I'd follow.

Comin' Back Home Again (118)

♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫

Those old Missouri hills
They keep callin' me back.
Those shaded hollows
And sun bathed oak tree tops.

Those cool clear country streams
I fished as a small boy.
Warm rays of the sun
And cool summer raindrops.

'Left many years ago
But now I'm comin' back.
Old familiar scenes
And warm friendly faces.

In a big rush to leave,
Not good enough back then.
Funny thing happened;
Now 'tis the only place.

Oh yeah, I'm comin' back
To the place I was born.
Yeah, I'm comin' home,
Comin' back home again!

Missouri country boy,
Reckon I'll always be.
I left Missouri;
Missouri ne'er left me.

Long-lastin' warm mem'ries
Of a much simpler time.
Still a country boy,
Reckon I'll always be.

Oh yeah, I'm comin' back
To the place I was born.
Yeah, I'm comin' home,
Comin' back home again!
