Missouri Bluebird (099)

♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫

Missouri bluebird,
Balmy springtime weather.
Tiny burnt orange breast,
Azure blue feathers.

Active little bird,
Flitting from tree to tree.
Come a wee bit closer;
Sing a song for me.

Missouri bluebird,
Balmy springtime weather.
Tiny burnt orange breast,
Azure blue feathers.

When I hear you sing,
It makes me feel better.
You chase my cares away
When we're together.

Missouri bluebird,
Balmy springtime weather.
Tiny burnt orange breast,
Azure blue feathers.

When I watch you fly,
My spirits are lifted.
And in this special way,
You're truly gifted.

Missouri bluebird,
Balmy springtime weather.
Tiny burnt orange breast,
Azure blue feathers.

It's nice to see you
On an April morning.
You satisfy within me
Some deeper yearning.

Missouri bluebird,
Balmy springtime weather.
Tiny burnt orange breast,
Azure blue feathers.

God's little creature,
I envy your freedom.
And marvel at the way
You freely go and come.

Missouri bluebird,
Balmy springtime weather.
Tiny burnt orange breast,
Azure blue feathers.

Neither do you toil,
Nor labor nor worry.
Yet you're provided for
So richly, so abundantly.

Missouri bluebird,
Balmy springtime weather.
Tiny burnt orange breast,
Azure blue feathers.

Watching you closely,
I'm reminded again ...
The simple truth of His
Parable lesson.

Missouri bluebird,
Balmy springtime weather.
Tiny burnt orange breast,
Azure blue feathers.
