She tells me I don't love her
Like she needs me to.
And complains I don't want her
The way I used to.

Don't know what I'm doin' wrong,

She tells me I don't listen,
That I never will.
Says I'm not empathetic,
Not like Doctor Phil.

Says I don't communicate
Appropriately,
That I don't connect with her
Emotionally.

Don't know what I'm doin' wrong,

Now I take her to movies
And to football games.
I wine her and I dine her
And call her sweet names.

Don't know what I'm doin' wrong,
But she just ain't happy anymore!

When we go crappie fishin',
I bait her fish hook.
And each year on her birthday,
I will even cook.

Don't know what I'm doin' wrong,
But she just ain't happy anymore!

My buddies advised me to back off
And give her some space.
So now I drink beer with them
Down at Joe Bob's Place.

But she just ain't happy anymore!

Last night down at Joe Bob's Place,
I got to thinkin'.
Somethin' popped into my head,
And my heart started sinkin'.

Don't know what I'm doin' wrong,
But she just ain't happy anymore!

Maybe she just don't love me
Any doggone longer.
Maybe she's found someone else,
And it's all over!

Guess I'll talk to her later
When I get back home.
Right now I'll just drink cold beer
With a head of foam.
