Relationships start,
And relationships end.
In every single case,
Strive to make a new friend.

Whatever happens then,
No one can foresee.
Whether they will stay,
Or whether they will flee.

Friendship may blossom
Into love I suppose.
But love can also wilt
Like the petals of a rose.

Expect the best of others,
And prepare for the worst.
Offer love and kindness,
But become good friends first.
