I Miss That Belly-Rubbin' Music (And I Sure Am Missin' My Baby) (010)

Love that belly-rubbin' music,
Swayin' with my gal to and fro.
But when the band plays those fast ones,
You'll find me sippin' bourbon real slow.

Whether it's Elvis, Sinatra,
Glenn Miller or Willie Nelson,
Dancin' cheek to cheek and up close,
Now that's my idea of great fun.

Went dancin' last Saturday night,
Just my sweetheart baby and me.
The band played lots of rock n' roll,
And I drank too much of that whiskey.

I ain't really proud to tell ya',
But folks, I got knee-walkin' drunk.
My sweet baby's gone and left me,
And now I'm in a heck of a funk.

Won't be slow dancin' for awhile,
'Cause my sweetheart's gone and left me.
I'm missin' that slow dance music,
And I sure am missin' my baby.

I won't be dancin' cheek to cheek,
'Cause my sweetheart's gone and left me.
I miss that belly-rubbin' music,
And I sure am missin' my baby.
