Elephants, Donkeys And Moronic Media Monkeys (040)

♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫

Here we go once again,
Another election campaign.
Elephants and donkeys,
Moronic media monkeys.

Silver-haired grandfather
Who can't read a teleprompter.
Young guy from Chicago
Says 'Yes We Can' while on the go.

Lots of red, white and blue,
Lies and promises, quite a few.
Great big problems to fix,
Many surrogates who are pricks.

'Reckon we'll muddle thru,
I sure as hell ain't gonna stew.
'Just hope we can survive
Until I turn seventy-five.

Oh, and did I mention,
Got no cash or old-age pension.
Just hopin' n' prayin'
Social Secur'ty stays solvent.

Neither candidate cares
Much about my damned Medicare.
At five bucks a gallon,
I can't afford lots of drivin'.

Spent too much in Iraq,
Don't think we'll ever get it back.
Scrapin' to make ends meet,
Too many jobs shipped overseas.

McCain and Obama,
TV pundits building drama.
Real change promised by each,
But still they drain us like leeches.

Think I'll sit this one out,
I ain't inclined to even vote.
'Lost my faith, lost my hope,
Don't think I'll support either dope!
