She sat down and ate my french fries,
Last night down at the Barrel Bar & Grill.
Now she was extra sweet and bubbly;
And I must say she gave me quite a thrill.
And while she ate all my french fries,
We had a grand ol' time makin' small talk.
I imagined how nice it'd be
To take us a nice long, leisurely walk.
Prettiest thing I've ever seen,
And I hoped she might stick around awhile.
But she left way too doggone early,
Long blonde hair and a right beautiful smile.
'Huggin' me tight, sayin' goodbye,
French fries gone, crumpled napkins on a pile.
Passin' through on a cold wintry night,

'Sure wish I'd gotten her number,
'Would like to see that sweet young lady again!
'Been thinkin' about her all today;
I've got the ketchup-smothered, french fry blues!
